Monster is a drawing made on a paper mould. It involves the landscape of Tucumán—its action, translation and displacement. It is a nature of stone, carrying journeys to the mountains, the loss of the whole and the copying of a trace. It entails adapting to another state of language and moving between realms and meanings: translating geography, climate, greenish moss, humidity and smell recorded inside the piece in order to turn landscape into artifice.

To make stones; to inscribe the object’s memory on paper. To bring drawing into a sculptural dimension: the line in space. Drawing and printmaking as crafts, landscape as genre. At the river’s edge, paper covers the stone until it touches the water’s surface.
