The project was selected through an open call for BIENALSUR 2025 and developed at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of Tucumán.
For one year, we worked with the heritage collection as a living and indivisible organism rather than as a sum of individual works. We questioned it, set it in motion and tested ways of connecting it with the Faculty’s extended community.
Create an Animal was a staged, performative action intended to awaken the collection: to bring it out of storage, train it, set it in circulation and observe what that movement could produce. The curatorial gesture turned the collection into a collective and pedagogical experience capable of asking what conditions are needed to accompany it, care for it and help it grow.
