COO, a cooperative of young artists from Tucumán, is a virtual structure from which we worked to form a cooperative and experiment with an artists’ union in our city.
We called ourselves a ‘cooperative’ to make our political and ideological position visible. We believe that artists’ work can also be strengthened through peer collaboration.
The project emerged in early 2011 from a collective need to propose new actions and intensify the activities that its members had been carrying out in different fields—management, production, education and research.

We consider ourselves protagonists of a fissure in the way the artist and their production are understood: a way of seeing/making (in) art.
